Description

CMCR des Massues is a rehabilitation hospital with 200 beds dedicated to rehabilitation and 30 beds in the unit of orthopedic surgery. It is located in Lyon, France, close to downtown. It is a small unit with five board qualified surgeons.
There is only elective surgery, no trauma no emergency.
Spine surgery represents 70% of the activity. 30% are general orthopedic, mainly prosthesis on lower limbs.
Spine surgery:
Deformities adult and adolescent, anterior or posterior approach, first cases, revisions: 150cases.
Degenerative, old patients: 150
No tumors, no cervical

 


What can a fellow expect?

Spine surgery is an important, but not the only part of our work.
Degenerative and deformity spine surgery is the main focus.
Works about sagittal balance
Fellows who are not only interested in spine, but also in general orthopedics, will find a wide spectrum of surgical expertise to learn from. Lot of works on relationship between hip and spine.
Fellows will be able to scrub.
